We had a traditional dinner for the three of us. Turkey, dressing, mash potatoes and gravy, deviled eggs, cheesy-corn-bean-noodle casserole, peas, and fresh baked bread. Cooking this type of meal presents a bit of a problem. We have only and over-sized toaster oven to bake and roast in.
I roasted a 5 pound turkey breast and two turkey legs in the oven. The only problems was that the dripping tray keep wanting to slide out of the groove and put one end of the pan to close to the heat. A metal cookie cutter solved that problem. I baked the casserole before I started the turkey and the keep in on top of the oven to keep it warm. Then While the turkey was resting I reheated the casserole. I baked the bread in my grandmother Waters bread machine. I did cheat and used Stove Top Stuffing mix and added raisins, onion, and celery. I thought it was a good stuffing from the top of the range.
I usually make simple meals for my family. I got some satifaction from the hours of time it takes to make a meal like this and much thanks from my family.
